Some of the things are for keeping up with the group. We often need to keep up to know what might come to be. If not knowing is a problem then what is knowing?
Most of the time we need to find related things about knowing which things are true or not. But what can actually be done about that.
Why wonder at all if there isn't much that can be done about knowing which things are true or not. It does matter quite a bit it turns out.
